WMM~The Ebony Strings Quartet

These women are dynamic and they do it all by creating great music! The Ebony Strings Quartet isn't an R&B singing group as you might think, they are a group of four extraordinary women whose talents are music to the ears of many.

Four young ladies by the names of Stephanie Matthews, Naira Underwood, Adiza Sanchez-Rahim and Patrice Jackson were students at The Juilliard School when they decided to create The Ebony Strings Quartet in 2006. Combining a mixture of violins, the viola and the cello, The Ebony Strings Quartet has made appearances on a number of shows. The group was featured guests on NBC's The Today Show and VH1's Hip Hop Honors. Their list of credits do not stop there, they've also worked with artists such as PJ Morton, Karen Clark-Sheard, Wynton Marsalis and Kanye West. These ladies are definitely making moves!

If you are a MySpace junkie, such as myself, visit the group's myspace page or their website to check out their work. I find their music very calming and I'm sure you will enjoy it as well. Kudos to The Ebony Strings Quartet for making moves!

Wmm~Michelle Obama

I can't remember a First Lady, or in the case of Michelle Obama, future First Lady, who has inspired me as much as she does. Michelle Obama is strong, articulate, a dedicated wife and Barack's number one supporter as he embarks on the journey to become America's next president. There are many other phrases I could use to describe Michelle, but you can visit Obama's website to view Michelle's bio.
Michelle Obama spoke at UCLA prior to Super Tuesday to get Califorians pumped up before its primaries. Caroline Kennedy, Oprah Winfrey and Maria Shriver also joined her. The rally was aired on C-Span, but just in case you missed it, you can view the video below. I had the opportunity to catch it on C-Span and I was amazed by the fire Michelle displayed while speaking of her husband's accomplishements. I admire Michelle Obama and I am looking forward to the day when she becomes our First Lady. Ladies, look towards Michelle Obama if you want an example of a woman making moves!

WMM~Celebration Station

If you are a fan of MTV's Sweet Sixteen, then you are aware of parties similar to the ones created by Celebration Station. Over the top, extravegant and creative are just some of the words that describe the productions put on by Celebration Station. This event planner definitely knows her stuff. The owner of Celebration Station is my friend on MySpace and the images she provides via her page are outstanding. I suggest you check you check it out at myspace.com/celebrationstation1 if you would like to see more of her work.

Celebration Station specializes in Children Theme and Sweet Sixteen Celebreations. The company has even gone a step farther to provide activites for kids at weddings , daycare centers, girlscout troops and other functions where kids may not be the main attaction, but are in attendance. Once you guys venture over to the Celebration Station myspace page, I'm sure you will be envious of the wonderful events thrown by this company. But never fret, Celebration Station also specializes in adult theme parties as well.
The events hosted by Celebration Station range from pirate themed parties to princess parities and even spa days. These are creative ideas that will be loved by all ages, but I'm sure the little girls are thrilled to receive a day at the spa like mom. The owner of Celebration Station based in the Atlanta area is certainly Making Moves! I encourage you to follow the lead of the owner of Celebration Station. If you have an idea that you are passionate about, follow your dreams, develop a business plan and put your plan into action.
