Each year Essence Magazine presents its annual Women Who Are Shaping the World Leadership Summit. Essence's editor-in-chief, Angela Burt-Murry, describes the summit as a signature event that brings together a wealth of speakers, seminars and motivational information for women. Attendees will leave the event empowered with tools hat can help them become successful.Essence is known for hosting outstanding events centering around the mental, physical and spiritual well-being of women. Essence Communications, Inc. is Where Black Women Come First. Founded in 1968, Essence reaches millions of women through news and entertainment. As an Essence Magazine subscriber, I've attended a number of events hosted by the company. And on Friday, I'll take in the conference as a volunteer.
The list of speakers for this event is amazing. Women from all backgrounds are coming together to celebrate one another. Robin Roberts, co-anchor of Good Morning America, was just added to the roster of speakers. Also attending is Suzanne de Passe, CEO of Passe Entertainment Group; Michelle Singletary, syndicated financial columnist for the Washington Post; and famed publicist Terrie Williams. There are over 30 speakers scheduled to attend. CNN political commentator, Roland Martin and former Saturday Night Live cast member Finesse Mitchell are some of the men scheduled to attend.

i have received info about this summit but never talked to anyone who has attended. based on your testimonial, i will look more seriously into attending for next year.
It was a great event. Similar to the GNO event we attended, I left feeling inspired. The speakers were motivational, truthful and inspiring.
