WMM~Nicole Paultre Bell

The Women Making Moves blog has previously highlighted women who are business owners, innovative thinkers and more. This particular post highlights a woman who is making moves due to an issue she greatly believes in. Nicole Paultre Bell, fiance of Sean Bell who was fatally shot by the NYPD, continues to fight for justice for him. I'm sure you've heard Nicole's story hundreds of times since the 2006 killing of Sean. When Sean's shooting occurred, I was also engaged to be married. I can't imagine Nicole's pain of losing her fiance on her wedding day. I couldn't possibly know Nicole's pain, but I could certainly imagine the pain of losing my then fiance/husband.
Nicole has pledged to continue fighting for justice for Sean. She along with the Rev. Al Sharpton and more than 200 people were arrested recently in NYC for their non-violent protests against the Bell verdict. Nicole also participated in a Rocawear campaign to state her case for continuing to strive for justice. It's also rumored that Jay-Z has established a scholarship fund the Bell children.

Nicole recently spoke with Essence Magazine regarding Sean's verdict and the steps she is taking to receive justice for his murder. The interview allowed Nicole to open and honestly discuss her reaction to the verdict. Nicole is certainly a women making moves. Ladies, take a lead from Nicole Paultre Bell and take a stand for a cause you believe in.
Women, start making your Moves today!
