The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network recently held their launch party in the entertainment capital of the world, New York City. WEEN Founders pictured here with attendees from the event, formed a coalition of women committed to positive portrayal of women in the entertainment industry.

Founding members Valerie Butterfield Executive Director of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, Sabrina Thompson a consultant with a background in media and television, entertainment and criminal lawyer Lauren Lake and Kristi Henderson a public relations extraordinaire intend to make a positive change in the media and the impact it has on the community.
